Privacy Policy
Last updated October 20, 2026
This page explains, in plain English, what information The Fudge Report (fudge-report.pages.dev) uses.
No accounts
You don't need an account to use the site, and we don't ask for your name or email.
Your ZIP code
If you enter a ZIP code for local news, it is saved only in your own browser (localStorage) so the site remembers it next time. It is not sent to us. To find your town's name, your browser sends the ZIP code to a free third-party service, Zippopotam.us. You can clear it at any time with the "forget" button or by clearing your browser data.
Advertising and cookies
The site may show ads from third-party vendors, including Google AdSense. These vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
Videos and links
Links to news outlets, YouTube and other sites take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may keep standard technical logs (like IP address and browser type) for security and performance.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: the1stfudgereport@gmail.com.
